Drug Policy
We strictly adhere to the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Prohibited Substance List, which sets our standard for drug-free competition. This list is updated annually and is accessible at https://www.wada-ama.org/en/prohibited-list
All competitors must pass a polygraph examination scheduled before the competition. Details will be provided at the time of registration.
Pro division winners from pro qualification classes must pass a urinalysis administered after completing the class division. Details will be provided at the show. Pro winners will also be subject to testing and at the promoter's discretion.
Suppose an athlete tests positive for a banned substance. In that case, they will be suspended from competing for at least one year up to a lifetime ban based on the severity and quantities/levels of the banned substance or substances detected. The athlete's name, test results, and suspension length will be posted on our website and social media platforms.
Any athlete that produces an Adverse Analytical Finding (Positive Test Result) faces immediate suspension beginning the date of the positive test. The athlete will be notified in writing of the Adverse Analytical Finding, and the lab will provide the Confidential Test Report. The athlete has the right to appeal the decision in writing within ten business days and pay the total cost of the “second” sample testing. However, the suspension continues until the “second” sample confirms or refutes the findings. Once UNBA makes a final ruling, there is no second appeal.
You are responsible for being aware of the prohibited list. Ignorance is not an excuse.
Therapeutic-use
Suppose Competitors have illnesses or conditions that require them to take particular medications needed to treat a disease or condition that falls under the prohibited list.
This can be considered therapeutic use, and an exemption may authorize that competitor to take the needed medicine. Criteria for granting a therapeutic use exemption are:
* significant health problems without taking the prohibited substance or method
*The therapeutic use does not produce significant enhancement of performance

Peptide Hormones, Growth Factors, SARMS: Prohibited for 7 years.
Beta-2 Agonists: Prohibited for 6 months.
Hormones and Metabolic Modulators: Prohibited for 7 years.
Diuretics and Masking Agents: Prohibited for 6 months.
Prescription Thyroid Hormone: Prohibited for 3 years unless prescribed for non-bodybuilding purposes.
Prescription Medications Affecting Insulin for Bodybuilding (e.g., Wegovy, Ozempic, Metformin, Rybelsus): Prohibited for 6 months.
Intoxicating Substances (Cannabis, Alcohol, Narcotics): Prohibited within 12 hours before the polygraph test.
Stimulants: Prohibited for 6 months.
