Considering the Wellness Category?
Wellness focuses on women's frames, where the glutes, hips, hamstrings, quads, and calves are more developed than the upper body. Muscularity and condition are less than the figure, as the look focuses more on an athletic tone developed. Striations and muscle separation are not evident. On a scale of 1-5, with five the most extreme and one the least in the criteria. Wellness muscularity 3 and conditioning 3.
Judges will evaluate the following Criteria.
Symmetry/ Balance- Due to the focus on more muscle development in the lower body through hips, glutes, legs, and calves compared to the upper body development. The symmetry look will follow the asymmetrical balance. We looked at each half separately and compared the overall muscularity and then the total body presented.
Muscularity- Wellness shows less of an extreme to figure in overall muscle development. The competitor should show an athletic tone look . Highlighting the most development in the hips, glutes, quads, thighs, and calves. T
Conditioning—Wellness is less conditioned than the figure and should have minimal separation and detail of muscle development. Tone and tightness. Conditioned midsection. A general athletic, healthy look.
Presentation/Posing—This is where the athlete will display their hard work in the required poses. They should show an overall healthy look. Tan, grooming, suit/accessories, good posture, and confidence are essential for standing out. Pro Athletes will also have their posing presentation added to their overall score.
